One-point advice from Ms. Hoshizuki

This time's theme is "About Water".

I will explain the importance of daily hydration.

Hello everyone.

This is Hoshizuki.

The hot weather continues, but how are you doing?

It is often said that "it is ideal to drink 2 liters of water a day."

For adults, water makes up 55-65% of body weight.

If 1% of that is lost, you will feel thirsty, and if 2% is lost, you will experience dizziness, nausea, and loss of appetite.

Furthermore, if 10% is lost, you will faint, and if 20% is lost, your life will be in danger.

(If you don't drink a drop of water, it is said that it becomes difficult to sustain life in 2-3 days...)

If you can hydrate properly every day, you can expect detox effects and improved skin quality.

The amount of water needed varies depending on age, physique, and season, but generally it is 35 ml per 1 kg, so for a person weighing 50 kg, it is 1750 ml, and for a person weighing 60 kg, it is 2100 ml.

(Food also contains water, so you can include that in your calculations!)

Some people may say "I don't like water...", but tea and sports drinks cannot truly substitute it.

Try to make small efforts like "trying warm water" or "adding fruit" to gradually increase your water intake.

Also, coffee and alcohol have a diuretic effect, and drinking too much can lead to dehydration.

Do not include them in your 2 liters of daily water intake, and try to hydrate actively, especially when you need to use the restroom frequently.

How you drink is also important; drinking a large amount at once can cause the body to not absorb it, leading to unnecessary excretion, coldness, and swelling.

Try to drink a glass (150ml to 200ml) frequently, especially when you wake up, during exercise, before and after bathing, and before going to bed!
